The hazelnuts originate from Piedmont, and are processed whole in order to preserve their flavour in all its fullness. They are roasted, before being coated with hazelnut and almond gianduja and dusted with a fine layer of cocoa powder.
Real, traditionally roasted Piedmont hazelnuts. After caramelisation, they are coated in gianduja, a chocolate made using a cream base. Finally, they are given a fine dusting of cocoa powder.
Flavour characteristics: smoky flavours resulting from the thorough roasting process, a raw edge imbued by the cocoa which accentuates the taste of the roasted hazelnut: not too oily, but deliciously aromatic.
