Located in the Los Rios region of central Ecuador, the Hacienda Puerto Romero plantation produces exceptional quality cocoa beans. Its owner, Pedro Martinetti, sets aside 60 hectares of cocoa exclusively for the Maison Marcolini. There, he cultivates a very special, dark-purple Nacional bean that is only found in Ecuador, and which produces an intense, extremely dark and exquisite chocolate.
